Frequently Asked Questions
Which sources can I search from?
Currently, TUBIDY pulls high-quality results directly from YouTube and SoundCloud. We are constantly looking into adding more platforms to make sure you can find even the most obscure tracks in one place.
What file formats are available?
It depends on the source. For YouTube results, you can choose between MP3 (ideal for music players and saving space) or MP4 (if you want the full video). For SoundCloud, we provide the highest quality MP3 audio available from the stream.
I downloaded a file, but where did it go?
By default, most browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) save files to a folder called "Downloads" on your device. If you can't find it, head to your browser settings or press Ctrl+J (Windows) or Cmd+Option+L (Mac) to see your recent download history.
Help! The search isn't returning any results.
Usually, this is a temporary glitch. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If you're looking for something very specific, try using the exact artist name or pasting the direct video URL into the search bar. If it still feels broken, feel free to drop us a message via the contact form and we'll look into it.
Why won't the 'Play' button work for a specific song?
If a preview doesn't load, it’s often because the content creator has restricted that specific video in your region. Don't worry—there are usually several versions of the same song available. Just try one of the other search results and it should work fine.
Is there a limit on how many songs I can download?
Not at all. We believe in open access to music, so there are no daily limits or "premium" caps. You can convert and download as many files as you need, whenever you want.
Do I need to install an extension or app?
No, and we actually recommend avoiding sites that force you to install software. TUBIDY is 100% web-based, meaning everything happens safely inside your browser. This keeps your device clean and fast.
